Most years we attend an Easter Homeschool Family Retreat which brings together lots of families who are friendly to the idea of singing chant, but need printed materials to support participation.

It’s very nearly 25 years since Peter and Veronica married. So, turns out there’s a special, very rarely celebrated, Mass for the occasion. And a blessing for after the Last Gospel.

Sometimes at homeschool camps we hear from guest speakers with interesting ideas. One such guest speaker is Peter Doig from sunny Queensland. He homeschooled his kids and has a keen interest in History.

I picked up a handout with the text of this blessing in Latin and English. I noticed the words: “Antiphon” and “Responsorium” and wondered if there was music out there. Whaddya know, there is!
